Winter Wonderland

December

In December, visit our Winter Wonderland during the day for a festive, hand-crafted, Christmas experience. Winter Wonderland is open until 31 December, except Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day, when the site is closed.

Please note that the Manor House (permanent museum collection) is only accessible with a guided tour through the 31 Dec. Tours are bookable on a first come, first serve basis at the Ticket Office and places are limited. Our Deli, Brick America special exhibition, children crafts and gardens are open as usual.

Be enchanted by the Georgian Manor House, festooned with a stunning 18-foot fir tree and artisan decorations.

Explore the fresh winter gardens, with opening until 5pm to see the twilight with soft, pretty lights.

Enjoy festive food and drinks at the American Garden Deli.

Play at our LEGO bricks exhibition, Brick America, and enjoy a winter wonderland-themed guided tour around the Museum.

Book onto a fun festive workshop, from macramé to felt art for families, and other exciting events, including a rock choir concert, jazz, and Santa’s Cinema.

Relax with family Christmas crafts and colouring in the Stables at weekends and during the school holidays.

Opening times

Winter Wonderland is open until 31 December, except Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day, when the site is closed. The American Museum & Gardens’ site is open from 10am–5pm, however please note that areas open and close at different times within this:

Exhibition, Gardens, Gift Shop, and Car Park: 10am–5pm (last entry 4.30pm)
American Garden Deli: 10am–4.30pm (last entry 4pm, last orders at 4.20pm)
Museum: 11am–4pm (last entry 3pm)
